Call (847) 942-9070 or use the contact form to book a free consultation. Estimates are free too. Z Construction doesn't publish prices, because the number depends on the scope, so it is set after Brad and Shari have seen the house and heard what you want from it.
Since 2001. It is a family-owned firm run by Brad and Shari Zenner, with more than 500 projects completed around Chicago and the North Shore. The team is licensed, insured and bonded.
Highland Park, Deerfield, Glencoe, Northbrook, Riverwoods, Lake Forest, Glenview, Kenilworth, Lake Bluff, Wilmette, Winnetka, Evanston, Lincolnshire and Chicago. The office is at 1434 Ridge Rd in Highland Park.
Yes. Shari leads selections and design consulting. Clients describe her going to the stores with them, connecting them with key suppliers and advising where to spend (cabinets) and where to save (sinks).

Custom cabinetry, countertop installation, appliance upgrades, and a rework of the layout, storage and workflow so the room cooks as well as it looks. The team starts by listening to your vision and then offers its own advice on what will work.
A bathroom remodel changes how the room works and how it looks, and it adds value to the home overall. The work covers upgraded fixtures, modern designs and more efficient layouts, whether you want a dream bath or a simple update to the one you have.
Yes. Small bathroom remodels are part of the work, and the firm's range runs from a single small bath to several homes built at once. Small rooms get the same planning as large ones, because every fixture has to earn its place.

Yes. The process is turnkey: engineering drawings, securing permits and the final finishing touches all run through Z Construction, so you work with one firm from the first meeting to move-in.
Yes, from the ground up. Z Construction builds new homes as well as additions, and past clients have come back to build a house after an earlier addition and renovation. Some built their first home with Brad and Shari.
Basements are finished as living space, entertainment rooms, home offices and recreation areas. Past work includes a bar, a game room, a home theatre, a gym, a golf simulator and a wine cellar. See the basements and other spaces page for photos.
Yes. Deck construction and installation and other outdoor spaces are part of the work, along with other areas of the home such as mudrooms. The same crew and the same schedule cover them.
